Water powered sump pump is based on a simple design that requires no batteries or moving parts.

The pressurized municipal water flows through a venturi nozzle causing the water to speed up. As the water speeds up, its pressure drops down and creates suction. The reduced pressure causes the water powered sump pump to draw water from the pit.

Once the pit and drain tiles are drained, it automatically shuts off. The float switch is not dependent on electricity or a battery either.
