Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Sounds loud 105dB or musical tone alarm. 6-foot sensor wire. Water sensing probe end may be suspended at any level in sump crock by attaching supplied weight. Wall-mount anchors keep alarm dry. Low battery signal. Uses standard 9 volt battery, not included.

Amazon.com Product Description
The Reliance Controls sump pump alarm and flood alert comes complete with a 60-inch water sensor wire. For maximum versatility, the kit includes a weighted probe tip that can optionally be suspended at any level to detect rising water. The sensor tip features a suction cup mount that can be affixed to any hard, non-porous surface, such as a toilet tank, bathtub, or tile floor. Designed to protect your investments, as soon as water is detected an extra loud 105-decibel alarm sounds. The alarm includes all necessary wall mounting hardware, and a 9-volt battery is required for operation (battery not included). The alarm comes backed with a 1-year limited manufacture's warranty.

It works so far; just don't know how long the battery will last before I have to replace it. Compact and loud!

Amazon sent the package to Baltimore (I live in Alaska). While I might buy this product...I sure as heck won't ever buy from Amazon again!!

1 out of 5 stars false alarms   April 4, 2008

I put this alarm in my sump pump crock like it said. But the condensation in the crock got across the terminals and set off the alarm. The water level was below the alarm and never got that high but the wetness in the pit set off the alarm and made it useless.

I have the sensor hanging in my sump pump. It did go off one time when my power went off and I could hear it from upstairs.
