WAYNE 1/2 HP pump June 7, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I agree with one of your earlier product reviews for this product. The 1/2 HP pump is slow with the 3/4" hose connection but surely it does an very adequate job on pumping out the pool water. This may be a benefit because it gave me time to clean the sides of the pool as the water level went down. I will try the greater diameter connection on my next job. Thank you for the reviews and the product as well.
Excellent transfer pump May 9, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this to re-fill my pond from a nearby creek. Initially, I would only use it for a few hours at a time for fear of overheating. However, I've had it on continuously for over a month now and it is still going (I'm using it as a sort of supplementary inflow for the pond). It has never clogged and puts out a steady stream of water through a garden hose about 100 feet long (with a little less force than you would get from your house). It's really quite amazing and certainly worth the price.

I could not be happier. Speedy delivery. The pump is far more powerful than I expected.
Wayne 1/2 HP pump December 21, 2007 13 out of 16 found this review helpful
It worked right out of the box. I used the included garden hose connector and hooked up a 50 ft, 5/8ths inch hose. The rise from the bottom of the pump was about 4 feet. The flow I got was about 5 gallons a minute, a bit slower than I expected, but it worked okay for what I needed. I may get a larger and shorter hose and I think it will improve a lot. My use was to drain the last six inches of waster out of a landscape pond and I liked the pumping to the last 1/8 inch of water. It did clog with debris once for me and I took off the bottom cover. It was easy to do.
As described -- Works well. October 11, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As described -- Works well. Pumps quickly and leaves little in the bottom of the pool to be removed another way.
