Motor not repairable November 23, 2008
If a motor part, other than switch, goes bad, you must replace complete pump unit. The motor is non-repairable.
I had a motor run capacitor go bad. The part probably costs less than $5 and is simple to replace, but the capacitor is not available from the manufacturer of the pump. Their solution if one has a motor go bad-replace entire sump pump unit.
