Works Great! July 27, 2008 Previous pump (another brand) was worn out and we also wanted one with the hose connection not on the top. When the hose connection is on top, the pump tips over too easily. We use this to pump water off the solid pool cover on an inground pool. We hope this lasts as long as the last one.

a hose was recommended for with a coupling that does not fit.. i called wayne and they said go buy one at lowes ...gee thanks
Mary from Brookfield WI June 13, 2008 I purchased this pump about 6 months ago. It is great. We have had very heavy, flooding rain here for days and our sub pump could not keep up. We used this pump and it kept the crock from over flowing and our basement dry! Thanks Amazon for having it, and thanks to Wayne for making it!
WAYNE 1/2 HP pump June 7, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I agree with one of your earlier product reviews for this product. The 1/2 HP pump is slow with the 3/4" hose connection but surely it does an very adequate job on pumping out the pool water. This may be a benefit because it gave me time to clean the sides of the pool as the water level went down. I will try the greater diameter connection on my next job. Thank you for the reviews and the product as well.
Excellent transfer pump May 9, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this to re-fill my pond from a nearby creek. Initially, I would only use it for a few hours at a time for fear of overheating. However, I've had it on continuously for over a month now and it is still going (I'm using it as a sort of supplementary inflow for the pond). It has never clogged and puts out a steady stream of water through a garden hose about 100 feet long (with a little less force than you would get from your house). It's really quite amazing and certainly worth the price.
